Who we are and What we're about
We, the descendents of Eli and Mary Elizabeth (Betsy) Hatcher McCarter, are a happy lot who are proud of our heritage
and eagerly get together every two years to celebrate.
Purpose of our Web Site
We hope to use this site as a vehicle for sharing McCarter and Hatcher photos, stories, yarns, information, documents,
and other material about our family.
We also hope to encourage family members--especially younger ones--to become interested in genealogy and in the wide
range of information available in our family history
Family Members are encouraged to submit any material which they think others in the family might want to share--especially
historical material that might otherwise become lost.
Policies
To protect individual privacy, we will include no information on this website about any living person.
We hope to add or update material frequently. Some updates
and corrections will be printed in orange and will remain in orange for approximately one month.
